With God all things are possible KJV

The exact phrase “With God all things are possible” is from the old King James Version of the Bible. Other versions may use slightly different wording, but the meaning is the same. As it is not about the exact words, but the power and God’s Spirit behind it.

The Word of God is alive and powerful and can change difficult situations and difficult times into good times. God’s Holy Spirit works through His Word—it is not the letters or the specific translation we use.

What is the full verse of Matthew 19 26?

We should understand Matthew 19 verse 26 in the context of the verses prior to it. Jesus was talking to His disciples about how difficult it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. The disciples were astonished, asking, “Who then can be saved?” (Matthew 19:25). Christ Jesus then responds with the powerful and famous quote, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

With God all things are possible meaning lays first in our salvation. Scriptures emphasize that salvation is not something we can achieve on our own, but only through God’s grace. It also reminds us we should not put our trust in earthly possessions, but in God, who is able to do all things.

The quote is not just about salvation, but it applies to all areas of our lives. It is a reminder that we should not limit ourselves to what we think is possible, but trust in God’s power and plan for our lives. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.

The full verse is:

“Jesus looked at them intently and said, ‘Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible’.”

Matthew 19:26 (NLT)

The young rich man

Jesus Christ said, “With God all things are possible” to that young, rich man. He then asked Jesus (verse 16), “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” Even though the rich young ruler was convinced he had kept the laws, Lord Jesus still required something else from him.

Jesus knew that the young man’s heart was attached to his riches here on earth, not to everlasting life. All Jesus wanted from Him was to follow Him with all his heart. So, He said (verse 21), “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” The young man’s love for his possessions was greater than that, and he left.

Jesus used this man’s example to teach His disciples:

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!’”

Matthew 19:23-24 (NLT)

This reminds us that our attachment to worldly possessions can hinder us from following God completely. Not the possessions themselves are an issue, but our hearts. The passage also emphasizes the importance of putting our trust in God, who is able to do all things. This is where the phrase “With God all things are possible” becomes relevant in our daily lives.

We all face challenges and difficulties, and sometimes we may feel like giving up. But the Bible reminds us that God’s power is limitless, and there is nothing He cannot do. We can take comfort because, with God, we can overcome any obstacle and pass through difficult times.

What is the verse Matthew 17 20?

Knowing that with God all things are possible and actually believing it are two different things. When we really believe it, we will put it into action. We will practice our faith. Not easy, but possible. Possible, because of the power of God, not of us.

If we have little faith, we can expect little things. But if we have great faith, we can expect great things to happen in our lives. It is our faith that puts things into motion. And that faith comes from God!

“’You don’t have enough faith,’ Jesus told them. ‘I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible’.”

Matthew 17:20 (NLT)

We can thank God that faith is a gift from God. We can have faith because of the grace of God. And with that faith, we can move mountains. Nothing is impossible for those who believe. Believe anything is possible quotes:
