Bible with affirmations who I am in Christ

Who we are in Christ is more important than our identity based on our families, cultures, background, geographical location, education, etc. God created us and that determines our true identity. Exploring the Bible about who we are in Christ and creating positive affirmations based on it will help us know and believe “who I am in Christ”.

If I wonder who I am in Christ, the first place to go to is God’s Word. In the Bible, I can find many statements about who God says I am. As Christians, we can’t live without His Word. God’s Word is our light, our guide, our beacon, our place to go to in every situation of our lives.

If we want to find the answer to “who am I in Christ?”, we can pray and ask God’s guidance and we can explore Scriptures. Doing both is the best! The next thing to do is use the powerful information about who we are in Christ in positive affirmations. Affirmations we can use for ourselves, our loved ones, our churches, or even our nations.

What is my identity in Christ?

God created us and birthed us. We need to find our identities based on that. If we build our identities based on world’s values, we will become worldly persons. And if we build our identity based on what people say about us, we allow others to create our identity. Mostly, what others say about us is not the truth. We could end up believing a false identity.

For me, knowing who I am in Christ was a major breakthrough in my life. It changed me from an insecure woman, relying on opinions of others, to a confident woman in Christ. It gave me the security I needed to step out. And it gave me peace.

Without knowing who I am in Christ, I was tossed up and down by any waves. But then I met Christ. Living based on my identity in Christ has made me strong. People can tell me whatever they think about me. It doesn’t harm me anymore. Because I know who I belong to and whose I am.

What does the Bible say about who I am in Christ?

The most important revelation we can find in God’s Word is that we are His. We don’t belong to ourselves; we belong to God. Truly grasping this will enable us to believe we are who God says we are.

Christ died for us so we can live in Him. Because we now live in Him, we also are everything He is and everything God says we are in His Word. God wants us to live in this knowledge and step out in faith in an amazing life in Christ.

Our lives are not supposed to be boring, depressing, and full of defeat. No. God says we are winners and overcomers. He set us free so we can live and live abundantly.

Who am I in Christ Bible verses

The Bible is full of powerful verses about who we are in God. God uses His Word to speak to us, as well as through prayer, worship, sermons, etc. God’s Word is life-giving. When we speak it over ourselves, we affirm the truth of His Word to ourselves. This way, we give way to God to work in our lives and manifest His promises in us.

The verses in God’s Word that give us a clue of who we are in Christ serve as the basis for creating our own ‘who am I in Christ affirmations’. Affirmations about who you are in Christ must be biblical, grounded in Scriptures.

What does God say I am affirmations

As children of God, we have the full right to declare and affirm what God says we are in His Word. We can claim those promises as they are assurances from God. His Word is not a gambling field and is not partial. Provided we are God’s child, we are who God says we are.

We can boldly say, “In Christ, I am all that God says I am!” If initially you hesitate, doubt, or are not sure, affirming His Word over yourself will increase your faith. After all, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

So, you do nothing wrong when you claim God’s promises for yourself. He made them for you. Claim them! And see the manifestation of it in your life when you affirm them over your life.

The truth of God’s Word will replace any lie that was in your life. The lies that you are not good enough, not beautiful, not perfect, not blessed, and not capable. As well as the lies that you are incomplete, unloved, unrighteous, condemned, in bondage, cursed, and a loser.

You can use each Bible verse containing the confirmation of who you are in Christ as an affirmation. Remember, God’s Word is the truth. Each time you pronounce any of the affirmations over your life, you replace that which was broken with the wholesome truth of God’s Word.
